The Hidden Language of Neon Cities
Every sign has two jobs. First, it has to communicate clearly. Second, it has to survive the real world.
That sounds simple until you remember that signs live on buildings, streets, campuses, hospitals, stadiums, airports, and restaurants. Every environment creates a different challenge.
Design is only the first step
A beautiful layout is not finished until it can be built. Materials, thickness, mounting, lighting, maintenance, access, weather, and code requirements all affect the final product.
This is what makes signage interesting. It sits between graphic design, architecture, manufacturing, and human behavior.
